Ways of Giving
Tuition alone covers the basic costs of education our students. We encourage all parents and guardians to contribute in some way to Glenwood Academy.
The Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is an essential part of our school's funding. Without it, we would not be able to provide the many extras our parents have come to expect and associate with the School's education.
The Annual Fund provides the financial means to enrich our programs, while ensuring that tuition remains affordable for the widest range of families possible.
Each year, our school sponsors a campaign to raise money for the fund. Full participation not only supports the school financially, but demonstrates the solidarity of our school community to major outside donors.

Volunteer Information.
All independent schools rely on voluntary support to thrive. At Glenwood Academy, our parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends work to ensure our well-being through their participation in and support of special events, regular programs and classroom activities.
Our volunteers are always chairing or assisting with fundraising events, service hot lunches, volunteering in the classroom, and more!
To help sustain the School's tradition of excellence, we ask parents to consider making us one of their top philanthropic causes while their children are enrolled.
PTO
All parents and guardians of current students become members of the Glenwood Academy's PTO . Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate in, and support, PTO sponsored events throughout the year.
PTO was organized to support educational objectives. This support includes carrying out a fundraiser to enhance school life, supporting school functions, and encouraging unity, cooperation, and understanding among school faculty, staff, and parents.
Tuition alone covers the basic costs of educating our students. Fundraising provides the financial means to enrich our programs, while ensuring that tuition remains affordable for the widest range of families possible.

Technology
Both Glenwood Country Academy and Glenwood Country School offers all of our studnets a fighitng chance in today's web 2.0 society.
As technology expands, so does the need for opulance in knowledge within the field. As the only private school in Maryland's Howard County, our school and academy offers students a state of the art network complimented by with wireless access points, expansive email, heavy file storage, and high-speed internet access.
Students are provided not only with the tools needed to becaome technologically savvy, but are impacted by the knowledge they receive regarding how to make social media and multi-media strategies work for them and their futures.
Glenwood Country Academy has an exclusive program called Character Counts. This program has been developed to give our students a competitive advantage in problem solving, congienantilty and leadership within their careers as students, but also so they can each apply the program to real-world situations.
Bullying and deceit are becoming more and more accepted within the public school system and even amongst private social situations. Glenwood Country Academy is proud to not only develop social and education skills amongst our students, but also set up a core system of value and character building blocks which help our publics become more enriched individuals.
Students are taught:
The value of citizenship and what is means
Compassion in society
Fairness
Integrity
Honesty
Preserverance
Responsibility
Respect
Self-dispicline
Trustworthiness
Glenwood Country Academy doesn't want students to get lost in the crowd. This is why we are dedicated to small classroom sizes.
All of our classes are limited to ten students. We want students to be treated like the individuals they are, not a number. Teachers should be able to glance around a classroom and know what student is not present and the reason why.
With public education, oversized classrooms not only decrease a students ability to learn but offers a chance for a students absence (and reason why) to be overlooked.
Glenwood Country Academy offers private education that is a relief for concerned parents. Our students and teachers develop a relationship, and sense of community, within the classroom. This helps improve each students skill set, attention span and offers some essential safety benefits not found in the public sector of education.
Researched Based Education.
Glenwood Country Academy personalizes the education expierience for both students and parents. We offer advanced learning sessions amplified by a multi-sensory student culture.
Our researched bacsed ciricumulm is algned with Maryland's Voluntary State Ciriculum. Furtherly, all techniques used are suported by our state of the art and techonolically advanced atmosphere.
Glenwood Country Academy is a non-profit facility employing the support of several specialist within, and relating to, the educational field.
Diversity
Glenwood Country Academy has a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination of any type, politics and/or bullying. The school does not classify children, or their potentianl, on the basis of race, religion, socio-economic status or ethnic origin.
Our school and academy is a non-profite, private education institution. Our education points are based on research and not religion, social preference or populatity of unexplained theories.
All parents seeking a tailored plan for their child's educational career should consider setting up a tour.
Community
Glenwood Country Academy knows who your child is. It is a simple concept, but a concept lost amongst public education. Our affordable, private education allows classrooms to remain small while allowing a sense of community to remain large.
Glenwood Country Academy is set amongst the most beautiful landscape in the U.S., and welcomes new students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Since our school and academy are both small entities packed with massive knowledge and nuturing for students, enrollment is always in demand.
Allergy Prevention
Glenwood Country Academy knows food allergeies can be a matter of life or death. Our private academy is among the few in Howard County to cater to students by offering balanced meals and also by paying strict attention to each child's dietary needs and food allergies.
